2015 Ford F-150 Oil Type and Capacity
Oil specifications depend on the engine.
Ford published different oil grades and capacities for the four 2015 F-150 engines. Identify the engine first, then check the label on the oil container for the Ford standard.

Before buying oil
The two 3.5L V6 engines use different published oil grades. One is turbocharged and one is not. Check your engine identification before choosing a grade, filter or service kit. Ford may publish updated approvals for modern products, so match the relevant specification rather than brand alone.
After an oil change
The manual describes checking the level on level ground with the engine off after a 15-minute wait. Use the dipstick and do not exceed its upper mark. The table gives published system capacities; the actual amount needed after service can vary.
Which oil filter?
Ford’s original parts chart lists FL-2062 for the 2.7L EcoBoost and FL-500-S for the 3.5L EcoBoost, 3.5L Ti-VCT and 5.0L engines. Verify any replacement or superseded part number for your VIN.

I own a 2015 Ford F-150 and plan to add real observations, photos and maintenance notes to these guides. I won't present an untested repair as something I've personally done.
