2015 Ford F-150 Coolant Type and Capacity
Compare the original Ford coolant specification with the product label and current Ford guidance.
The 2015 Ford manual specifies coolant meeting WSS-M97B44-D2. It also cautions owners against mixing coolant types or selecting a product simply because its colour looks similar.

Original coolant specification
The 2015 book lists Motorcraft Orange coolant meeting WSS-M97B44-D2. The compatible current Ford service product may differ from the original label. Confirm an approved replacement or conversion procedure with Ford rather than mixing products by colour.
Checking the level safely
Do not open a hot pressurized system. Watch for persistent coolant loss, overheating or an unusual smell and have the cause diagnosed before topping up repeatedly.
Why the full capacity is not a top-up amount
The figures represent the published system capacities. A drain often leaves fluid in the engine, heater and hoses. A professional refill or flush must follow the correct bleeding process.

I own a 2015 Ford F-150 and plan to add real observations, photos and maintenance notes to these guides. I won't present an untested repair as something I've personally done.
